Putt Putt Mini Golf   http://www.kerman94.com/PuttPutt.HTM  Site Reviews(0)
Fancy a game of miniature golf? Summer’s almost officially here, and you know what that means. Miniature Golf! But you don’t have to wait in long lines in the heat to play. There’s a full, 18-hole course on your desktop. It includes everything you’d find at a regular mini golf course. There are gradients, obstacles and windmills. And if scary clowns are your thing, there’s a hole featuring a clown’s face. You control your swing, the ball’s placement and the angle of the stroke. Okay, maybe it isn’t as much fun as the real thing. But it’s good practice for when you hit the course. Plus, it’s a good way to show your kids the physics behind miniature golf. Um, yeah, it’s educational…

Population Campaigns   http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/worldbalance/campaigns.html  Site Reviews(0)
In 1952, India was the first country in the world to launch a mass media campaign to spread the concept of family planning in response to population growth. Most developing nations soon followed suit. While the campaigns have had varying degrees of success, they have made a significant impact overall. According to a World Bank study, the average number of children per woman in the developing world declined by 2.5 children between 1960, when many of the campaigns began in earnest, and 1990, and it has continued to decline. Efforts to promote family planning through print media, radio announcements, and television ads carefully designed for national audiences persist in most developing countries. Here, browse recent posters from population campaigns in China, India, and Kenya, and learn how their different approaches have fared in the decades since they began.

Pandora   http://www.pandora.com/  Site Reviews(0)
How do you discover new music? If you're like most people, you probably rely on the radio or television to find new music artists. Or, you may use listening stations in record stores. But that's a hit-or-miss approach – you'll have to wade through a lot of music you don't like! Well, developers have been working on software to help you find new music. You start by specifying a song or musician that you like. The software analyzes elements in the music. It matches patterns to other music in its database. At Pandora, you can give it a try and see if this kind of software works for you. It creates your own personal playlist, so you can hear the recommendations in their entirety. Now that's cool!
